A diabetic sock is a particular type of sock especially designed for use by persons with diabetes. A sock is generally a knitted garment that is used to enclose the foot, and they are designed to serve a variety of purposes including easing of the chafing between the foot and the footwear, keeping the foot warm, absorbing moisture, and prevention of verrucas (that is, a firm abnormal elevated blemish on the skin).
